I had a really cool mini reunion Saturday night. An old friend from high school, Jade was visiting her Mom and we got to have dinner. My best friend Amanda moved back home about six months ago and I haven't taken the time to really hang out with her. Well Jade visiting was a good opportunity to hang out. I am one of those people who LOVES to have the "remember when" conversations. I love to remember old times. I think I like it so much because it makes me realize how blessed I am. I have had such a crazy life and I've done some terrible things, when I think of the way I used to be I am just amazed that God loves me.
The Bible says that we are all predestined for something. God knows the future, he knows every choice we will make. He knew when I was making bad choices and living a terrible life that the day would come that I would listen to his voice. He never gave up on me even though I had turned my back on him. I hated God for the problems in my life. I hated myself, I hated my family. I was a terrible person I did not deserve salvation. I still don't but I'm so thankful for this gift from God. To know that I am forgiven is such a comfort to my soul. Forgiveness changed me. I know if it was not for the grace of God I would probably not be living right now. I definitely wouldn't have the wonderful husband and children that I have.
Anyway my little reunion really brought back a lot of memories from my past. I am truly thankful for what Jesus did for me and for every person ever born.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world that we should be holy and without blame before him in love. Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will. To the praise of the glory of his grace wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. In whom we have redemption through his blood the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of his grace. Ephesians 1:3-7

Ouch For Brett!!!
We usually spend Sundays after church out at Chris's parents house. They have fishing, cows, hickory nuts and tons of other fun things to do. Well Chris was off to take the kids fishing and we had an accident. They always ride in the gater and Brett somehow fell out when it wasn't even moving. Chris was getting the fishing poles the gater was parked and Brett just toppled out. Poor guy landed just right on a rock and now we're calling him metal head because he has one staple holding his scalp together. He was pretty brave in the emergency room. He teared up just a bit when they stuck the staple in but he was a big boy. He even got a sucker in the end and that made him happy. He's learned his lesson he says about standing up in the gater. He has a little round blonde patch on the back of his head where the hair is lighter than anywhere else. Well that just happens to be right where the cut is so now he's got a blonde patch AND probably a little scar too.

November Baptizing
My son and my sister were both baptized yesterday. The water was cold but the sun was shining and the wind was still. I don't think Logan realized just how cold the water would be until he stepped in. We warned him but he didn't care ;) Chris and I were both baptized in November of 2000 and it was a whole lot colder than today. We had three baptized from church yesterday. Logan, Kristina and Misty. It was a great day and I'm so thankful to see three more souls saved. God is so great and I'm proud to serve him.
Acts 2:38-41 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call. And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. Then they that gladly received his word were baptized:

ELECTION DAY!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ME!!!
Well today I turned 28 and I voted for a new president. We had a homeschool co-op get together today and learned about Elections. It was pretty fun. The kids got to show their election video they made and we got to share what we've learned about elections. We had a vote and Logan won! That's ok because Emily won the online vote. We had Barrack O'Bama, John McCain and Hillary Clinton stuffed dolls to illustrate our presentation to the co-op today. It was so much fun. After we finished we all went to our local polling place where the kids got to see us vote. It was a good day and I'm excited to see who wins. Here are some pictures we took on this election day!

Me & My Emily
I am sitting here watching the news as I post this and I am amazed at all the people saying they took their kids with them to vote. I was really was worried about how everyone would act with our homeschool group taking all the kids in with us to watch us vote. I am happy to see how many other people did this. It is so important to get out and vote and we need to teach the younger generations how important it is. God Bless America!

Sunday Fun!
Sundays are pretty good days for us. We get up and go to church and after that we go out to spend the rest of the day with Chris's Mom, Dad & Grandma. We usually have Sunday Lunch thanks to Chris's Mom. It's usually really enjoyable, especially for the kids. I like having quality family time. I can't wait until my Mom & Ken get back so we can hang out with them too! While we were visiting this weekend we picked more hickory nuts. The kids love getting out in the woods and "exploring" as they like to say. They always find hide outs and cool rocks. It's always a good time. Here's some pictures we took this weekend.
