YIKES!!! Anyone who knows me will know I LOVE to color my hair. I never really do drastic things but I color my hair every few months. Well this time around I decided I wanted a little less red and a little more brown. I wanted to go just a bit darker since color fades so much anyway. I figured this way it'd last just a bit longer. I also always color my hair myself at home. I save $50 each time and like I said I usually don't do anything drastic so I've had very few mistakes. I am not sure if I would even call this a mistake because it's not green or purple but it's a LOT darker than I intended. It doesn't really match my skin tone, at least I don't think so. It doesn't look absolutely horrible but it's just not what I was going for. I can live with it though and it will fade so in another couple months I'll try again. :)

I love Sundays! This morning I grabbed my camera to catch the kids as they were waking up. Brett beat me to it and started crying because I didn't rush over and get him out of his play pen fast enough. You can see the tears on his face in the pictures of him below.

Next I went to wake up Logan. He is the heavy sleeper of the family so he is the hardest one to wake up. He usually wakes up smiling though.

Then I woke up Emily. She was actually already awake by this time so I just took sleepy pictures of her.

After everyone got up we all got ready for church. It was really a great morning. There were no huge fights or anything dramatic that usually happens on a Sunday morning. It was just happy and peaceful. We even had time for me to get everyone to gather outside for a family picture. I love my new camera. It has a timer on it and I can set it to take our picture. So this is our newest family picture that I'm gonna have printed. I love it :)

By the way I've been meaning to do this but keep forgetting. My mom just started her new blog! Everyone should stop by there and welcome her to the wonderful world of blogging! She has lots of cool stuff to blog about too since she has me for a daughter and she lives in Hawaii :p Well the second part is true anyway. Everyone have a great day.

Have you ever had a really stupid fight with your spouse??? Yesterday morning my husband told me that he was out of socks. Ok! I got it. Well I didn't do any laundry at all yesterday. SO this morning I awoke to Chris griping at me because he was out of socks. I felt bad that I had spaced it the day before and not done any laundry. THEN I realized he was holding a pair of socks! He is sitting there holding "the last pair of socks" and griping at me because he told me yesterday he was out of socks and I hadn't washed any. So of course I was ticked off and I just told him I'd wash some socks today and I rolled over to catch a few more minutes of sleep.

This was one of those stupid fights that just didn't want to die... When I got out of bed five minutes later Chris was still grouching about the socks. Now keep in mind this is totally my point of view and I am giving you the low down on what happened. I am not "husband bashing" I want to get some advice on how in the world we can avoid these kind of stupid fights. If I'm wrong please lay it on me I need to know what behavior I can change to avoid these arguments in the future.

Ok so I am combing my hair and Chris comes into the bedroom and starts in about the socks. I really didn't want to talk about it so I told him that I was really annoyed because to me, this fight should never have happened because he has a pair of socks. If he wakes up tomorrow and has no socks, then fine GRIPE all you want but shut up for now cause you have socks. Then he tells me he was trying to apologize but was just trying to get me to see his point. Well to me if you apologize and then continue to try to prove a point that's not a real apology so I was even MORE mad.

Then Chris leaves for work and the phone calls start. He calls me to apologize and it begins again. He is trying to tell me how I said I'd wash socks and didn't wash them and I'm telling him how it shouldn't matter cause he had a pair of socks in his drawer. Now when we have these conversations about socks or whatever it is it makes me feel bad. I take it as him calling me lazy and I really take offense. I work hard even though I am no longer working outside the home. I have a lot to take care of all day long. It's not like Chris ever forgets to do something I ask him to. So I'm getting more and more angry feeling like he's insinuating I'm lazy and HE HAD SOCKS.

So I'm not really trying now to make things right cause I'm mad. The next phone call I'm a little more calm and I bring up the fact that Chris didn't put away the spaghetti from dinner last night like I asked him and things start to wind down. I can tell now that he is just sick of fighting. I feel bad now though because I had to bring up something that he "didn't" do to justify something that I didn't do. I see his point. The fact is that I said I'd wash socks and then I didn't do what I said. I was trying to have him see my point as well that I FORGOT. But why do I always have to be right? I couldn't just let go of my anger and tell him I'm sorry I'll wash some socks. I actually did say that at first but I wasn't in a very nice mood and just like a fake apology Chris could tell I wasn't sorry.

This was a stupid fight and I don't understand how it happened. I guess I could have ended it first thing by just saying I'm sorry I forgot in a humble tone instead of a "shut up I'll get it done" tone.

Emily had a great birthday! Saturday we did our normal paintball thing, she and Logan got completely dirty as usual :p. Then we had her birthday party yesterday. She had a lot of friends over and they did the pinata thing. It was really fun for them all.

Church last night was really great. Our pastor had to go to a visitation so we were just winging it ;) There was lots of singing and sharing testimonies. I really love to hear about the different ways Jesus has changed the lives of people I go to church with. Not just them but everyone. It will never cease to amaze me how powerful faith in Jesus Christ is. It makes me really feel so unworthy of his love. After all I've done wrong I just don't feel like I deserve his grace.

Afterwards we went to my Aunt Crystal's house. My Grandpa & Grandma Teerlink were there along with my Aunt Teela and Aunt Sonya. Chris brought his guitar and he was teaching Abraham a few things. Grandpa wanted us to sing so the lessons had to stop (thank goodness) :p We all sang and talked till like 10:30! Emily is skipping Summer School today cause she didn't get to bed until after 11:00. She made sure to ask me if they were still doing perfect attendance first though lol.

I am such a slacker :p I haven't been blogging much lately. I have a good excuse though. It's summer time!!! Who wants to sit around on the computer all day when you can be outside :D I've been busy keeping the weeds out of my garden and helping Chris on the paintball field. My garden is looking awesome. We even picked a tomato already! Brett ate it :p Everything is growing and looking great. The birds killed off some of my green bean plants... I only have two left and they got into my onions too. My green onions didn't come up at all. The cucumbers, peppers and tomatoes are doing great though.

I've been helping Chris work on the paintball field. We have air barriers on our speedball field and they are so dirty. We have been working trying to get all the old paint cleaned off them before we hold our tournament July 8th. So far I think we've done 10 bunkers so we have about 14 left to go. It's really hard work too. The old paint is so stuck on there we have to use oven cleaner and scouring pads to get it off. It's quite a chore.

Emily is turning 6 years old this Saturday. I think we are going to try to get her a swing set for her birthday. I planned her birthday party for Sunday and I wasn't even thinking that it was Fathers Day so I hope her friends still come. I know her best friend Lauren is coming and her cousins Damon and Devin so she'll have a good time no matter what. We got a pinata that they can beat on.

Emily is really having a great time in summer school. The last day is June 28th. They go to the pool every Monday and Thursday and Wednesdays they go on field trips. Today they are going to Predator World. I am not able to go with her on the field trips because they don't allow the little kids on the bus and it would be too difficult for me to take them in the van and have to keep them in line by myself. Mostly because Logan gets so excited around all the kids that he starts freaking out. I am really hoping preschool will be a good thing for him and help him to calm down some.

I've been having this ongoing yard sale the past couple of weeks. I really don't want to pack all the junk back into the basement and I need to sell my couch. It's getting old in a hurry, packing everything out in the yard every Friday. I only open the pawnshop for people to pick up stuff out of pawn. They call me and I set up a time to meet them down there. It is so much better that way because I don't have to sit down there all day and not have anyone come in. I think Chris and his Dad need to have an auction but I don't think they've decided what to do yet.

Things are going well and everyone is happy and healthy. That's something to Thank God For. :D

Ok blogger wouldn't let me add anymore pictures to the post below so this is a continuation of the last post. You might wanna read it first lol.

This is Trent. He wears pink ;)

This is Chris or Mr T. He's our friend this one is not my husband.

And here are a couple pictures of me. I was doing most of the picture taking but Chris managed to get this one of me and then of course one of me walking off the field after being shot.

We had so much fun this weekend playing paintball. Saturday we had open play out at the field it was pretty fun but today we had airball practice and it was a blast. I took some pictures and Chris took some pictures so here you go!

This is one of my husband Chris.

This is a picture of one of the kids who played airball today his name is Colton. I love this picture I'm not sure why. This kid is so awesome he's only 12 and plays paintball really well.

This is a picture of Tim. I was trying to get a picture of the balls shooting out of his gun but I missed. It's still a cool picture though.

This is Ryan and our clean Airball bunkers. Chris and I have been trying to get all the bunkers on the field clean. We have to use oven cleaner to get all the old dried paint off them.

This is Mark. I felt so bad! I accidently shot him in the back of the head when he was on my team! It was a mistake I swear. I was shooting at a guy and Mark moved up and my gun does this thing called ramping where it shoots two and three balls each time you pull the trigger. I didn't see him move in time to quit firing and then when I moved into my bunker the gun was still firing and all three shots got him in the back and the head. He probably hates me lol.Add Image
